The results of last week's Student Council are now in! In case you couldn't make it down in person, take a look at the motions that passed, and the changes that will happen to your university experience because of them, right here.
We had three motions submitted to this Student Council, these were:
At Student Council an amendment was proposed for the motion 'Remove the Colston Dolphin from the University Crest and Stop Selling Merchandise Featuring It'.
This amendment proposed that three out of four of the motion actions should be amended and that a fifth action should be added. At Student Council, both the motion and the proposed amendment were debated, and students from the audience then proposed a couple of suggestions. These were:
The first and fourth parts of the amendment passed, while the second and fourth did not. Students then voted on the amended motion and this passed.
You can read the amended motion right here.
Here is the breakdown:
AMENDED MOTION 2: Remove the Colston Dolphin from the University Crest and Stop Selling Merchandise Featuring It: passed with 66% majority.
