LESSONS
*FREE LESSONS ON LAND: After the success of our 'give it a go sessions', we will be offering day lessons again this year in Bristol up on the Downs. We will be running beginners through setting up and flying foil kites and inflatable kites, as well as technique and theory - all key elements a good kitesurfer needs to know!
UK DAY LESSONS: We are currently finalising our plans for regular lessons. We are looking to run lessons with blast kiteboarding school. For beginners looking to learn are Zero to hero course during reading week in Southampton is the best bet. This is super cheap, includes kit rental, fully qualified instructors, rib cover and loads of water time over the period.
*IMPROVER/PROGRESSION SESSIONS: Once you have completed the zero to hero course or you have attended sufficient kite lesson with blast kiteboarding school to reach IKO Level 2, you can attended supervised progression sessions. These sessions are for people looking for confidence on the water, you should already be familiar with a kite but maybe you need some pointers on going upwind. They are not lessons, so there is no safety cover included.
*these are run based on demand, so please let us know if you would like these sessions
Our kit rental is for IKO level 3 kitesurfers or IKO level 2 kitesurfers within a progression session. For all kit use it is essential that you use the link below to rent our kit. You must have BKSA insurance and BUKS Membership.

£15 for 2 hours for members
£25 for 2 hours for non-members (extra tenner to rent an obstacle board)
Throughout the year we run weekend trips to Devon, Cornwall and Wales. Leaving Friday night from Bristol we head to one of our favourite bunkhouse or campsites. Once we've slept (a bit) the group head out to the beach in the morning. Beginners will be given the option to join for the vibes and practice with training kites on the beach. Intermediate riders will be paired up and given a kite to play with. Highlight of the weekend is usually the big fry-up provided by BUKS on Sunday morning! Trips usually run between £20 and £50 depending on location, whether you have your own kit, or a car to lend, and the number of people on the trip.
We will be setting up an instructor course in the new year for all you intermediate riders who dream of being able to spend your long uni summers getting paid to be a beach babe on the Mediterranean, or of spending 6 months living in the Caribean after you graduate, like many of our alumni. If you're a beginner and you come with us to Tarifa and then on all of the intermediate sessions, we can get you good enough to do the course with us!
The courses will be subsidized based on how many years of instructing you'd like to do with BUKS whilst still at uni.
The highlight of the year is the Summer trip - jetting off to a sunny paradise for 10-days of kiting madness! The trips are a massive opportunity for beginners to get up and riding as well as other riders to perfect those tricks they've always wanted to do. In the past, we rented apartments, stayed in hostels, or piled into a holiday house. The trip runs after exams and it a perfect break after the stressful season. Previous trips have been to Morocco, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
EASTER TRIP TO TIREE
after the ski trip, enjoy a wild week of wind in Scotland! We've got a cottage booked, a lot of kit, and its gonna be a sendy time
SUMMER TRIP TO PORTUGAL
After a long academic year, kick back with us in Portugal for 10 days and get your kiting up to the next level. There will be plenty of wind, kit, sun, and lessons for those who want them
