Welcome to the University of Bristol Table Tennis Club!

We are a diverse, friendly group of people of all abilities who enjoy playing table tennis competitively and socially. We offer coaching and support for players who wish to improve and have regular sessions in the SU Carpenter Room. Competitively we have one Women's team and two Men's teams in the BUCS league (British Universities & Colleges Sport). Many members also take part in the local league if interested. We will be holding Give it a Go taster sessions this year in the Carpenter Room at the SU:

Wed 27th September 13:30-15:00, Carpenter Room, Richmond Building

Wed 27th September 15:00-16:30, Carpenter Room, Richmond Building

Sun 1st October 20:00-22:00, Carpenter Room, Richmond Building

We will be holding Team Trials this year in the Carpenter Room at the SU:

Wed 4th October 13:30-17:00, Carpenter Room, Richmond Building

These are free so come along and try playing some table tennis!

 

If you are interested in playing on one of our BUCS teams (2 mens teams and 1 womens team) then come along to our Team Trials. Find us at the Welcome Fair and follow our Facebook / Instagram page for more information!

Training sessions this year will be at a variety of times, so like our Instagram page, email club email or keep checking the events on this page to get regular updates!  We provide the tables, bats and balls so all you need to do is come along at any time during these sessions for a knock around or some serious games.

 

We offer coaching sessions run by members of the team, beginner/intermediate sessions, advanced sessions with specific drills and training and team sessions for those with more experience. We are a club for all and aim to provide coaching, competition, teaching and a fun relaxed atmosphere for everyone no matter if you have never picked up a bat or are a national champion. Table Tennis is a sport for everyone!

 

The session times can be found on our Instagram page however if you are not on Instagram, please email us and we can figure something out. You need to be a fully paid member to go to the sessions. We will also be running Give it a Go! Taster sessions that are free and you can test out our sessions before choosing to become a member

Membership Fee Inclusions

 

Prior to signing up to a Club or Society speak to the Committee to find out what your membership includes and if there are any further expenses throughout the year.

 

Service Standards

 

All Club or Society members can expect to receive:

 

  • The opportunity to attend regular meetings, events, activities, trips and socials as arranged.
  • The opportunity to stand for a committee position or vote in their elections (Bristol students only).
  • For Sports Club – to attend regular training sessions and have the opportunity to be selected for the teams.

When joining a club or society you are agreeing to abide by the constitution, general rules, regulations and policies of University of Bristol Students’ Union and also the Club or Society Code of Conduct which sets out the level of behaviour & discipline expected of all Club & Society members.

Refund Policy

 

Any customer who pays for a membership subscription to a Bristol SU Society, Sports Club, Student Media and initiatives has a 14 day cooling off period from the time and date of purchase during which they have the right to cancel the subscription and receive a full refund. If you do decide to cancel within the 14 days, Bristol SU will refund your payment within a further 30 days of the cancellation.  To request a refund please email: bristolsu@bristol.ac.uk

 

Data sharing (Sports Club members only)

 

Please be aware that Bristol SU may share data relating to the members of its sports clubs with the Centre for Sport, Exercise and Health (a department of the University).  This information may be used for the purposes of communicating direct with these members and/or to cross-reference against SEH's Sports Pass membership records.

 

As part of Bristol SU's membership of British Universities & Colleges Sports (BUCS) Bristol SU may have to share data on to its sports clubs members so BUCS can, from time to time, communicate with these members.

If you're joining one of the societies listed below please be aware that your name and email address will be shared with Bristol Hub for the purpose of keeping you up to date with their activities through their email “The Week”:
