Student Community Organisers are our newest part-time and paid roles -we are so excited, to see them come to life! Not only are we refreshing our approach to change-making, but this is the first time we will be able to pay students for their valuable contributions to change making.
Student Community Organisers are leaders of change within the student body. They work collaboratively to connect student communities across the University and foster a unified approach to identifying and addressing the issues students face.
There will be six Community Organiser roles elected for the 25/26 academic year. Two of these roles will be “open- roles” meaning any student can run. The remaining four are reserved for students from specific communities, and you must identify with that community to run. We want out student leaders to represent the diversity of our student body and encourage students from all backgrounds to get involved with the work that we do. All roles will still partake in campaigning and issues across campus.
If you identify with more than one community, you may run for up to two roles, but you can only be elected to one.
