The amazing achievements of Student Groups groups are always inspirational, and December has been no different! From raising thousands for charity to hosting innovative events, Students' Groups at have shown incredible creativity, dedication, and generosity this month ๐ค
Whether this was through team challenges or creative fundraisers, their efforts have made a real difference, supporting important causes both locally and globally.

The Fashion Forward Society have just completed their annual event, Trashion for Change.
Trashion is an incredible initiative that encourages designers to create outfits by using sustainable, reclaimed or recycled materials. This year they exhibited over 30 designs and sold out over 240 tickets!
Not only does Trashion inspire and give a platform to young designers, models, photographers, makeup artists and other creatives but it also uses the opportunity to raise money for charity. Their charity of choice this year was Unseen UK, is a Bristol based anti-modern slavery organisation. Through their incredible efforts, Fashion Forward Society have really gone above and beyond raising upwards of ยฃ2200 for Unseen UK.

Pole and Aerial Society ran a seasonal raffle for the Bristol Sex Workers Collective. Bristol Sex Workers Collective is an organisation for sex workers, by sex workers based in Bristol. They advocate for safety and better labour support and social opportunities to help those involved in the industry connect with each other ๐ซถ

The University of Bristol Islamic Society (BRISOC) went all out this month with a range of initiatives that raised an astounding ยฃ4,000 for welfare aid charities in Palestine.
One highlight was their Apprentice-style Bake Off, where two teams competed in a head-to-head baking challenge, selling their delicious creations to raise funds - thats a lot of cake! ๐
In addition, BRISOC partnered with other university societies, including Cardiff, Swansea, and UWE, to host a charity auction dinner. All proceeds from these events were donated to Mercy Relief, supporting humanitarian efforts in Gaza. Follow thier Instagram @bristolisoc for details the next event! ๐ฐ
For the past month, members from Bristol Korfball have collectively been running 600km as a club! This was all in aid of their Movember campaign raising money for mental health awareness and action. Their campaign was complemented by a series of wellness walks, buddy schemes and wellbeing training from their committee. Great job! ๐ช
But there is more! This was all alongside winning games as part of their regular Korfball league, training for a BUCS prelim game and having a great time engaging new members with socials ๐ค Folow Korfball here @bristolunikorf

Their contributions have supported local communities in Bristol and made a global impact. These efforts highlight the generosity and creativity of students, reflecting the values of community, inclusivity, and making a difference.
