Important Welcome Fair Information

The Welcome Fair is Bristol SU’s biggest event of the year and your opportunity to meet over 350 different student groups, get some freebies and kickstart your time at Bristol!
The Fair will open at 9.30am and the first hour will be for students with access requirements. Gates will open for general access from 10.30am onwards and close at 6pm.
Head down to the Give It A Go Arena, where you can try out different sports and activities for free before you commit to signing up.
You’ll also be able to grab some tasty food and drink from our fantastic local vendors, including Can't Dance Coffee, Smoked Vegan, Eatchu, Alp Mac, Los Hermanos and For Mice & Men.

Your Welcome Fair Checklist
✅ You'll need to bring your U-Card in order to enter the Welcome Fair. If you've not collected this yet, then please bring along your registration confirmation email.
✅ Dress for whatever the weather! While much of the fair will take place inside marquee tents, parts of the site are outside and on uneven ground – it may get muddy if it rains.
✅ Bring a reusable water bottle or keep cup! We have water refill points on site and plenty of food and drink traders to buy hot drinks from.

The entrance to the fair is on Parry’s Lane on Clifton Downs. There are several ways you can travel to the site:
- Walking: if you’re based in or around Clifton, walking is a good option
- Bike: there will be a bike park by the entrance
- Voi Scooter: You’ll be able to take Voi’s to and from the site on the day
- Bus: There will be bus services running on the day that stop close to the site
Photography and videography will take place at this event - if you don't want to be featured in any Bristol SU promotional material, please make yourself known to a member of Bristol SU staff on the day.
