This app will offer you points for daily activity – so, you're in with the chance to get rewards just by moving!
By connecting an activity tracker to the app, Bristol Moves+ will be able to see your daily activity and reward you with points for the amount you do. Whether it’s walking, running, swimming, or cycling – any points you redeem will count towards amazing rewards like clothing, drink vouchers, and prize draw entries for items such as FitBits, iPads and more.
It’s a completely free app for you and the University of Bristol staff and is a great way to get moving. What’s not to love? You can even complete in-app challenges for bonus points and create groups with other new students.

Once you get to uni, it'll soon become clear that you need an authenticator app. But what is it?
Everyone at Bristol uni needs to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) on their University account. It's a great way to add an additional layer of security to your account.
You'll be able to set MFA up the first time you use your uni name and password to log in. From then on, after entering your username and password, you'll get prompted through the app to enter your second factor to verify your identity.

This app will take you on a self-guided tour, narrated by current students, all around campus – so you can get familiar with your surroundings in no time. Just take a look at this page for links to download the app, on both the App Store and Google Play.
As we mentioned in our ‘How to Get Around Bristol’ article, the U1 bus is a really helpful mode of transport for students to get around. It links the Stoke Bishop residences to both the campus and the city center.
And the best part? All first-year students are entitled to a free bus pass and can use the service which runs until 4 am Monday-Saturday!
The cost of the pass is covered in your accommodation fees, and you’ll be able to redeem it through a unique voucher code that’s sent to you.
To access your pass, and show it on your journeys, you’ll need to download the First Bus app onto your phone. The First Bus app is a great way to catch buses around Bristol, you can buy and store tickets on your phone and use real-time information to track your buses. So, it’s a win-win either way!
