FAQ:
Why are flights not included? Flights aren't included as we have found this to be the easiest solution in the past. Since the trip is happening during reading week, we wanted the option for people to be as flexible as possible. We understand that many of you will want to go home during reading week so flying from/to Bristol isn't necessarily the most convenient!
Can I get different flights to the committee? Absolutely! Details of which flights the committee will be taking will be communicated to you so you can plan accordingly. You can even stay for extra days in Milan but it is your responsibility to sort accommodation for this. Nearer the time, we will ask for your travel arrangements so we know who to expect and when
Where will we be staying? We will be staying in a hostel near the centre of Milan and rooms will be allocated upon arrival and separated by gender
What if I don't know anyone going? That's fine! Last year in Toulouse we had people from a range of different years who didn't know each other and we all had a great time
How will more information be passed round? Once ticket sales close, we will send round a link for a group chat where all important details will be shared and disccused
What if I need a visa but can't get one on time? We understand that visas are a massive barrier and that by releasing tickets this late it may have prevented many people from being able to come on this trip. This is the first year we have run a trip to Milan - and last year was the first trip to Toulouse in 6 years - so we have experienced some challenges. This does not excuse the late ticket release, but we hope you can understand the amount of work that goes into setting up a trip like this. For future trips to Toulouse and Milan, most of the groundwork has been done and we should be able to release tickets much earlier to allow for international students to apply for visas.
We sincerely apologise if this has prevented you from coming on this trip and as AeroSoc we promise to keep trying to do better.
