Description

Welcome to the Bristol SU's Archaeology and Anthropology Society!

Established in 2004, the Bristol ArchAnth Society is an academic society dedicated to engaging with and exploring the fields of archaeology and anthropology. As a society we aim to promote, support, and develop student, alumni, and public interest and engagement with archaeology and anthropology.

We achieve our aims through a variety of activities:

  • Social events
  • Creating a community where students can meet and socialise
  • Introducing members to exciting subjects from the fields of both archaeology and anthropology
  • Field trips to provide first-hand experience
  • Working with the local community

Follow us on Instagram keep up to date with society news and events.

Socials and Formals

ArchAnth Soc is first off an academic society so we aim to run a lot of activities aimed to enhance and widen your experience of your degree, including our lectures and film screenings alongside various socials. Our main motive is to create oppurtunities to meet new people and engage with the cohort.

We have had a very successful pub quiz at the Richmond Building with a turnout of over 30 people! The picture above shows our lovely committee.

We had a very successful Summer Formal in 2024, that involved a buffet style meal with lots of drinks and lots of dancing - another event we plan to make regular, as well as many more fun socials!

We would love to hear any feedback or ideas you have for our society as we want this to be a collaborative experience. Email any of these people below or message the instagram.
