We are a confidential, impartial and non-advisory listening and information service, ran by students, for students.
We don’t lecture or judge our callers, our job is to listen and help them reach their own conclusions. Whether you want to talk about something that’s upsetting you or one of your friends, or want some information of any kind, Nightline is here to listen. No problem is too big or too small for Nightline.
We run phonelines and an online chat service. For more details and our opening times, please visit our website bristol.nightline.ac.uk.
Volunteering at Bristol Nightline can be a very rewarding experience. As a volunteer you can be a part of a service that supports people when they need it the most, and help fight stigma surrounding mental health. We have about 100 volunteers at any one time, and are always welcoming in new faces. Both Publicity and anonymous Listening Volunteers are hugely important, and without them we simply wouldn't exist!
Being a volunteer is more than just going on shift. We are a close-kit community here at Bristol Nightline and we care deeply about the welfare of our volunteers. As a volunteer, you will be supported thouroughly through training and the whole time you volunteer with us. We run plenty of social events for our community to come together, unwind and have fun.
