Eng Des Achieves Carbon Neutrality!
We're delighted to share that our society's events, activities and products are now carbon neautral for the year April 2021 - March 2022. Initially this has been achieved through the purchase of UK Woodland Trust verified carbon credits, but in future years this will be accomplished through a combination of offsetting and reduction of emissions.

We have offset 5 tonnes of CO2 through the purchase of Woodland Trust verified carbon credits. This is equivalent to 54 metres squared of woodland. This will be the start of the Eng Des forest, which will be known as the Harper forest, named in honour of Paul Harper - a past director and icon of Engineering Design.
