Description

Welcome to Fusion! We are the University of Bristol's student-led Chemistry society for everyone who's on a Chemistry-related course, or just interested in learning more. All our members enjoy a huge variety of social events and activities throughout the year, including huge pub crawls, film nights and guest lectures - not only have you chosen the best STEM subject but also the best society to join! We also organise sports teams to compete in the University's intramural league!

Joining us is such a great way to meet loads of new people and come together as a community to support one another! We also run both an LGBTQ+ and BAME network as part of our commitment to promoting equality. You will come to find equailty forms a core value for Fusion.

All new first years who join us in September 2024 have the option of joining a "family" with second year parents to help them settle in and get to know what uni life is like! Below you can read further information and strongly reccomend you to sign up when you become a member.

FAMILY SCHEME FOR FIRST YEARS

As we mentioned above, we encourage our first years to get involved in our family scheme! We pair you up with second years who were in your position last year.

A priority for Fusion as a society is inclusion, therefore we have options of drinking and non-drinking families – we're all about making everyone feel welcome!

Whilst they say you can't choice familly, our fusion family scheme will run abit differently and give you the option to change within the year.

We also hope to offer prizes for the best family, so stay tuned ;)

EQUALITY

Ensuring equality and promoting diversity amongst our members is one of our top priorities. Read our Equality Action Plan for 2024-25.

Last year we launched both an LGBTQ+ and BAME Network for members in those groups to come together in a supportive environment.
