Join us for a talk by Shaykh Muhammad Asim Khan on Friday 8th November at 6PM. He will share with us a Muslim perspective on issues around life like abortion, assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Shaykh Khan has a degree in Islamic studies from Jamia Al Karam in Nottinghamshire where he studied under the tutelage of the esteemed Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada حفظه الله. After becoming an imam at just 20 years old, Shaykh Khan continued his academics in Islamic studies and Arabic.
He is now the shaykh of the Hazrat Bilal Masjid here in Bristol. He is especially interested in deepening his knowledge and contributing to the Islamic scholarly community. He plans to achieve these goals by continually furthering his studies and engaging in scholarly discourse. Please leave any questions you would like Shaykh Khan to look into before the event in this anonymous MS form.
Regardless of where you stand in the pro-choice/pro-life debate, all are welcome to attend the talk. People of different beliefs and religious persuasions are welcome.
We will provide some light refreshments (all halal) after the event, so feel free to hang around to ask further questions or discuss the contents of the talk with others!
