Becoming a member of UBSWPC is the cheapest way to be able to swim at the University of Bristol - and if you join us you're sure to have a whale of a time! Membership starts at just £40 for the whole year for fitness/non competitive members, giving you access to our pool time* as well as all of our super fun socials!

We are one of few Performance Sport Clubs at the University. This means our club is supported by the University meaning members have access to extremely high quality coaching across our squads, and the opportunity to improve in their sport beyond the pool through tailored Strength and Conditioning from our dedicated S&C coaches.

Water Polo

All 4 of our Water Polo teams (2 men's, 2 women's) compete in BUCS, with our 1st teams both in Premier Division. Our club has a glittering history of final-making, league-winning and BUCS glory, as well as more recently competing in the European Universities Water Polo Championships. If you have never tried water polo before, do not let this put you off! One of our players, who recently graduated, joined UBSWPC in her first year and had never tried the sport before, and within 2 years with us she became Women's 1sts Captain.

Our competitive water polo members have access to up to 6 hours of pool time a week, and our fitness water polo members have access up to 4 hours a week.

Swimming

FITNESS swimmers have access to 3 evening swim sessions, which are coached by our Swimming Captains! Over half of our members swim for fitness; it's a great way to stay healthy, meet new people and is the cheapest way to swim at Bristol.

COMPETITIVE/BUCS squad - we have a large competitive squad with access to 5 hours of training a week, and a tailored S&C programme outside of these hours. The competitive team competes at BUCS Nationals, BUSL, and Varsity. The team regularly makes relay finals at BUCS with both their A&B teams, and at BUCS Team Championships they enter a large squad of over 20 swimmers to compete in the top 2 divisions.

*You will also need the £25 SEH Access Pass (required for anyone using university sports facilities). If you don't have this already, it automatically gets added to your cart at checkout when buying a membership.
