Plans for 2024-25

Socials

This year we're hoping to bring our lovely members to some of the following, we hope you can join us!

  • Pub, café, and restaurant socials. Named vegan capital of the UK in 2019, Bristol has so many amazing places to eat that we want to share with you, and we'll be aiming to support independent vegan cafes and restaurants.
  • Bar crawls and club nights as well as plenty of alcohol free socials too!
  • Picnics, and pot-lucks. There are few better things in life than eating together. We hope to have lots of opportunities for sharing food together and spending time in Bristol's beautiful parks and green spaces!
  • Talks, debates, and film screenings. These are ways for us all to get together and talk about the issues close to our hearts and be introduced to a variety of different perspectives.
  • Society collaborations. Connecting with other amazing societies and networks to hold joint events.
  • Lunch/breakfast clubs. Regular meet-ups in Senate House for a chat about topics ranging from 'do plants feel pain?' to 'what's the best brand of oat milk?'.

Activism and volunteering

For all those out there who feel the calling to make a change in the world, we have many amazing opportunities to do this as a unified student group. These events will be shared on our socials throughout the year, so keep an eye out!

  • Protests and marches.
  • Campaigns. Increasing transparency over animal testing at Bristol uni and campaigning to stop the forced swim test.
  • Motions. Ditching meat and dairy on campus and pushing for a plant-based uni.
  • Sanctuary volunteering. At Dean Farm vegan animal sanctuary.
  • Collaborating with Bristol activist groups. Including PETA, Animal Rising and Viva!.

We'd love to hear from you! dm or email us any suggestions for socials, activism events and campaigns you'd like to see.
