Kombucha fermentation workshop

The process of fermentation allows us to create exciting and desirable flavours that can't be achieved by any other method. This 1.5 hour workshop starts with a welcome drink (fermented, of course) along with a few tasters of our core range of sauerkraut and kimchi and we'll then instruct you how to make your own kombucha to take home. Kombucha AKA booch is a slightly vinegary and fizzy fermented tea drink made using a SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeasts). It's a delicious and refreshing low-alcohol - a tiny bit is produced during fermentation - alternative to your usual tipple.

Your instructor Arthur is the co-founder of the fermentation business The Crafty Pickle Co. based in South East Wales and also just so happens to be a nutritionist, so he's well placed to answer your burning questions about fermented foods and how they interact with your health.
